Job summary

Sika Corporation in Canton, MA seeks a Material Manager to translate the Master Production Schedule into a detailed, executable production plan and to own the scheduling process. You will ensure material availability and coordinate with Supply Chain Planning, Production, Procurement, and Suppliers to maintain schedule adherence.

Qualifications

• Experience in production planning, detailed scheduling, material planning, procurement, or manufacturing operations.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, and material flow.
• Demonstrated ability to operate in a hands-on role while also providing leadership to the team.
• Experience with SAP or a comparable ERP/planning system.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify constraints and drive solutions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to changing production and supply conditions.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred but not required; relevant experience may substitute for formal education.

Responsibilities

• Translate the weekly/bi-weekly Master Production Schedule into a detailed and executable production schedule.
• Own and execute the detailed production scheduling process, including production sequence, frequency, timing, and short-term scheduling adjustments.
• Ensure the detailed schedule reflects production capabilities, operational constraints, material availability, and agreed business priorities.
• Own the availability of raw materials and packaging required to execute the production schedule.
• Translate production requirements into clear material priorities and purchasing requirements.
• Directly manage, coach, and develop the Raw Material & Packaging Buyer.
• Maintain relevant production scheduling, material planning, and procurement information in SAP.
