Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Material Planning Associate in Groton, CT to support the Global Materials Management team in timely planning, qualification, and supply of materials for research and manufacturing operations.

The role requires 1–3 years in material planning, strong analytical skills, and experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle). Collaboration across procurement, logistics, and cross-functional teams is essential to maintain uninterrupted production schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 1-3 years of experience in material planning, supply chain, inventory management, logistics, or related operations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Experience within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, GMP-regulated, or manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain material plans to support manufacturing, laboratory, and project timelines.
• Coordinate with procurement, logistics, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure material availability and timely delivery.
• Monitor inventory levels and execute replenishment activities to prevent shortages and production disruptions.
• Support material qualification processes, documentation, and compliance requirements.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve supply chain issues, material delays, and inventory discrepancies.
• Analyze material demand trends and provide recommendations to improve planning efficiency and inventory management.
• Maintain accurate data within ERP systems and generate reports to support operational planning activities.
