Job summary

Fresenius Kabi, a global healthcare company, seeks a Senior Materials Planner to lead material and supply planning for assigned product lines in the United States. You will translate demand and schedules into executable supply plans, act as primary liaison with suppliers, and drive procurement, inventory, and recovery priorities in a GMP environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• 5+ years in supply planning or related field.
• Strong SAP knowledge MM/WM; SAP experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of MRP, purchasing, production planning, inventory principles.
• Ability to analyze data and make decisions with limited direction.
• Ability to identify supply risks and mitigation plans.
• English as primary business language.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute short- and mid-range supply plans that align production schedules, customer demand, material availability, capacity constraints, service targets, and inventory objectives.
• Analyze MRP outputs, forecasts, inventory positions, lead times, safety stock parameters, open orders, and supplier performance to determine quantities and timing.
• Exercise independent judgment in procurement and material allocation decisions, balancing service, cost, working capital, shelf life, and risk.
• Serve as primary supply chain liaison for production units and suppliers, maintaining proactive communication.
• Monitor supplier delivery, responsiveness, quality, and capacity; lead issue resolution and recovery plans.
• Identify risks and develop scenarios, contingency plans, and recommendations for leadership.
• Optimize inventory investment while maintaining service levels via safety stocks and policy settings.
• Maintain accurate material master data, inventory balances, POs, and SAP MM/WM transactions.
• Assign raw material lots to production using FIFO and ensure SAP records reconcile.
• Coordinate material quality issue resolution and GMP compliance.
• Partner cross-functionally to align material strategies with priorities.
• Develop supply chain metrics, risk visibility, and root-cause analyses.
• Lead or support continuous-improvement initiatives in planning processes and data quality.
• Provide guidance and coaching to team members.
