Job summary

Slate is seeking a Material Planner to optimize the flow of materials across its US-based production facilities. You will develop material plans based on forecasts and orders, ensuring timely delivery of raw materials, components, and packaging to support manufacturing.

Responsibilities include inventory control, supplier coordination, and collaboration with production and engineering teams to support launches and changes. Lean principles and data analysis will be used to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years in material and production planning in manufacturing environments.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar.
• Experience supporting product launches and engineering changes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute material requirements plans based on production forecasts and inventory targets.
• Ensure materials and packaging are available at the right time and quantity for uninterrupted manufacturing.
• Monitor inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and optimize stock levels.
• Coordinate with suppliers to confirm delivery schedules and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure material readiness for launches and changes.
• Participate in lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement projects.
• Analyze material consumption trends and generate reports for management.
