Job summary

Le Sueur Incorporated is seeking a Corporate Materials Manager in Minnesota to oversee planning, procurement, storage, control, and distribution of materials to meet company and customer needs. You will drive supplier relationships, optimize inventory, and support production and delivery efficiency.

The role requires leadership experience, ERP/MRP proficiency, and strong analytical and communication skills to manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in SCM, Business, Logistics, or related field.
• 5+ years in materials or inventory management in manufacturing.
• Proven leadership and team management.
• Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop material sources and forecast future needs; direct procurement and inventory.
• Supervise purchasing, inventory, receiving, production planners and warehouse teams.
• Develop and execute strategies for materials planning, inventory control, and purchasing.
• Monitor raw materials, components, and finished goods inventories to meet production schedules.
• Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers; negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms.
• Analyze and forecast material requirements using MRP systems and historical data.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards in materials handling.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and logistics to resolve supply chain issues.
• Track KPIs such as inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, and cost savings.
• Conduct regular audits of inventory processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to material transactions and supplier performance.
