Job summary

Clayton Homes is seeking a Materials Manager to lead material management, vendor relations, and cost control at the Home Building Facility. You will oversee purchasing, warehouse, and inventory, coordinating with Engineering, Production, Service, and Sales while aligning with home office procurement and accounting teams.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Supply Chain operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of leadership in materials management or supply chain.
• Experience with cross-functional teams and Lean principles.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to interact with all levels.
• Familiarity with ERP concepts and MS Office applications; material planning knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the purchasing, warehouse, and inventory control teams.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and corporate teams on scheduling and planning.
• Negotiate with suppliers and manage supplier contracts and SOPs.
• Manage Oracle/ERP modules to improve processes and inventory accuracy.
• Forecast demand, manage cycles, and balance cost with production needs.
• Oversee data collection, KPI performance, and variance analysis.
