Job summary

TC Energy is seeking an office-based Material Coordinator to enable end-to-end material coordination for US Projects—West. You will partner with Project Managers, Project Engineering, SC, and Expediting teams to ensure timely material delivery to align with project schedules.

The role requires reviewing drawings and BOMs, creating SAP requisitions, and expediting critical components while maintaining accurate material status reports across engineering, purchasing, and logistics.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 5 years related experience in a Project environment within the oil and gas, pipeline, or power industries.
  • Past material management experience.
  • Knowledge of material and equipment used in pipeline and facilities construction.
  • Ability to manage multiple high priority projects and competing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Incorporate material lead time estimates from SC and develop a schedule for placing material orders in time to meet the project schedule.
  • Review Technical Drawings with a high level of attention to details.
  • Review Bill of Materials (BOM) with Project Engineer to identify materials to be supplied by TC, its Fabricators, or its Construction Contractor.
  • Coordinate design deliverables from Project Engineering or the ESP to SC for RFQs and subsequent awards according to the Material Matrix schedule.
  • Work with Materials Management and Warehouse team to identify available inventory and/or surplus materials.
  • Create SAP purchase requisitions (and/or SAP reservations for materials in inventory) based on design Bills of Materials provided by Project Engineering.
