Job summary

CAIRE Inc. is seeking a Buyer II to manage suppliers and materials with moderate to high complexity. You will oversee end-to-end purchasing, vendor management, and PO processes while leveraging MRP strategies to ensure production readiness and controlled inventory levels.

In this role, you will build strong supplier partnerships, analyze procurement data, and collaborate with engineering, quality, and logistics to resolve issues and drive cost improvements. Local travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in SCM/Business or related field.
• Strong computer skills with Advanced Excel.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, JDE, AS400).
• 3–5 years of materials and vendor management experience.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end purchasing process including vendor management, PO creation and management, vendor evaluation.
• Use MRP/inventory strategies to ensure material availability while controlling inventory levels.
• Develop partnerships with suppliers and drive cost-down initiatives.
• Analyze reports on purchasing, supplier performance, and market trends.
• Coordinate with planning, production, and logistics to ensure on-time delivery.
• Review Engineering Change Orders and coordinate changes with suppliers.
• Support receiving, warehousing, and accounting to resolve invoicing issues.
