Job summary

Ultra Maritime seeks a Material Program Manager to orchestrate material plans across Sourcing, Program Management, Engineering, and Operations. You will craft material strategies, lead early supplier involvement, and align BOMs with the technical baseline while controlling changes.

Responsibilities include EVM, MRP-based scheduling, and cost forecasting, with opportunities to guide IPT-led programs and ensure schedule adherence for defense programs requiring a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience working in the DoD Aerospace & Defense industry.
• Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute material program plans and subcontract management plans with Supply Chain.
• Balance strategic thinking with tactical program applications.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Operations to create project schedules based on MRP.
• Lead planning proposal activities including task descriptions and bases of estimates.
• Develop BOMs with engineering and manage changes during proposals; cost strategy.
• Partner with Product Management on obsolescence and long lead material issues.
• Engage in proposals and monitor material actual vs should costs.
• Coordinate make/buy/where decisions and manage risk/opportunity plans.
• Work with supply chain to drive execution and monitor KPIs.
• Oversee Earned Value Management and material forecasting.
