Job summary

Logisnext Americas Inc. in Houston seeks a Materials Planner to ensure supply continuity by managing MRP data, releasing POs, and coordinating with suppliers to meet production needs.

The position focuses on maintaining data integrity in ERP systems and optimizing component availability. You will analyze shortages, track delivery performance, manage inventory levels and safety stock, and support cost-effective procurement in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 2–5 years’ experience in Material Planning and Inventory Management.
• Experience in a Manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Microsoft Excel – advanced skills.
• MRP database management experience.
• Familiarity with Infor LX ERP.

Responsibilities

• MRP interpretation, release of POs to assigned suppliers and communicate supplier feedback with respect to material delivery timing, quantity, expedites, and past due status to appropriate parties.
• Update database and MRP systems to ensure data integrity.
• Reporting of components availability in regards to manufacturing shortages, new product introduction, and engineering order implementation.
• Manage departmental targets in regards to Purchase Order Management, supplier delivery performance, inventory levels, safety stock, and obsolescence exposure.
• Manage parts hand off process in the MRP system from commodity managers to buyer/planners as new parts or vendors are established.
