Job summary

Capsum Inc in Austin, TX is seeking a Material Supply Planner to manage material planning and inventory using MRP to ensure optimal turns and minimize slow-moving stock. This role collaborates with the Supply Chain & Customer Service Manager on issues across receiving, production, and accounting.

The incumbent will place POs, monitor supplier performance, and maintain accurate ERP data, aiming for on-time deliveries and cost-effective materials management in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• MRP experience and ERP proficiency required.
• Experience placing POs and managing inventory.
• Strong vendor management and OTIF reporting.

Responsibilities

• Review material requirements using MRP or buy plans.
• Place POs based on MRP and inventory, manage delivery expediting.
• Coordinate inbound logistics and communicate issues.
• Ensure material cost matches negotiated prices.
• Manage vendor performance and publish weekly reports.
• Set up items in ERP and update material masters.
• Monitor inventory turns and handle obsolete/slow-moving stock.
• Collaborate with QA on defects and RTV/dispositions.
• Address invoicing issues with suppliers.
• Create new items in ERP as needed.
