Job summary

Capsum in Austin, TX is seeking a Material Supply Planner to manage inventory using MRP, place purchase orders, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries for production needs.

You will support the Supply Chain & Customer Service Manager in problem-solving across receiving, accounting, and system testing, while maintaining inventory turns and minimizing obsolete stock.

Responsibilities

• Review and understand material requirements using MRP or manual buy plans.
• Place POs based on MRP, existing inventory, and future demand; manage vendor follow-up.
• Coordinate inbound logistics and schedule deliveries to support production requirements.
• Ensure material cost match price negotiated by purchasing.
• Create and update item data in ERP for accurate material masters.
• Manage inventory levels and report slow-moving, obsolete, or expired materials.
• Work with quality on defects and disposition issues; communicate constraints or delays.
• Assist with invoicing issues with suppliers and make corrections as needed.
• Create new items and parameters in ERP when needed.
