Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Logistics Analyst for its downtown Columbus, OH office. The role focuses on expediting materials, monitoring shipments, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery for projects and operations.

You will manage ERP/MRP workflows, maintain purchase orders, generate performance reports, and partner with cross-functional teams. This is a contract onsite position with a typical pay range of $25–$30 per hour, with benefits available where eligible.

Qualifications

• The role requires expediting materials and managing supplier performance.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and shipment documentation (BOLs, ASNs, etc.).
• Ability to coordinate logistics with suppliers, carriers, and warehouses.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Experience applying Excel and basic data analysis to performance data.
• Experience supporting outages, turnarounds, or schedule-driven operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage expediting activities for suppliers and materials.
• Monitor orders and shipments, identify risks, and drive recovery actions.
• Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, brokers, and warehouses.
• Resolve shipment, documentation, customs, and quality issues.
• Maintain purchase orders and delivery status in ERP/MRP.
• Partner with Buyers, Planners, Project Managers, and Site Materials teams.
• Support critical projects via material tracking and reporting.
• Produce supplier performance and on-time delivery reports.
• Use Excel and BI tools to analyze performance and identify improvements.
