Job summary

Hitachi Rail USA is seeking a Material Expeditor / MRB Coordinator in the Hagerstown, MD area to support North American vehicle projects. The role collaborates with the Head of Warehouse to ensure onshore activities run smoothly and will travel to manufacturing plants in Italy and customer sites in the US.

You will monitor vendor delivery schedules, report material coverage, reconcile inventory, and coordinate MRB meetings for final disposition of non-conforming materials.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or a supply chain degree.
• 2–3 years in manufacturing with inventory management, PO tracking, vendor liaison, quality control inspection, logistics planning.
• Strong organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vendor delivery schedules for on-time arrival of goods for manufacturing.
• Coordinate MRB meetings and disposition of defective or non-conforming materials.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to ensure compliance with global standards.
• Oversee, document and plan materials management for introduction of manufacturing change notices.
