Job summary

Fastmarkets in the Americas is seeking a Strategic Markets Editor for Critical Minerals. You will leverage deep expertise in non-ferrous markets to shape the PRA strategy, produce high-value content, and build senior market and political relationships.

This leadership role has no direct reports. You will coordinate and edit strategic content across markets, mentor reporters, and work with product, events and marketing teams to maximize impact while maintaining editorial independence.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in critical minerals.
• Experience of working in a PRA and/or commodity markets.
• Excellent journalism and editing skills.
• A strong network of credible industry relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior colleagues and collaborate across teams.
• Strong understanding of pricing, price discovery and methodology.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for high-value strategic content to drive market engagement.
• Help expand Fastmarkets’ presence and reputation in strategic minerals areas.
• Identify opportunities for price launches and product development and determine specifications and data submission pools.
• Build trusted relationships with policymakers, regulators and other public-sector stakeholders while maintaining editorial independence.
• Work with the broader business to plan market engagement and strengthen relationships with market participants.
• Produce, coordinate and edit strategic content across markets to maximise impact.
• Share knowledge, mentor reporters, and guide the team in editorial direction.
• Align pricing content with editorial and marketing channels, ensuring consistency.
• Represent Fastmarkets at events and industry forums to strengthen brand and thought leadership.
