Job summary

Autodesk, Inc. is seeking an experienced Competitive Intelligence professional to join its Research group. You will conduct market and competitive analyses across Manufacturing, AECO, and Media/Entertainment, and lead selected projects while collaborating with senior stakeholders.

The role supports hybrid work around Boston, with proximity to U.S. East Coast hours. You will synthesize data into executive-ready briefs and market maps, driving strategic insights and actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in competitive intelligence, market research, business intelligence, or related analytical field.
• Strong analytical judgment and ability to form defensible point of view.
• Experience with market analysis, competitive research, market sizing, or related assessments.
• Proven ability to lead projects or workstreams with multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate on analytical work and synthesize perspectives.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market and competitive analysis across Autodesk's industries, tracking AI developments, competitors, startups, funding, talent movement, product releases, partnerships, research, and regulatory changes.
• Distinguish meaningful change from noise and communicate when evidence does not support new conclusions.
• Partner with Research teams to define target markets, map competitive landscapes, size opportunities, identify gaps, and test market assumptions.
• Lead coordination of research and intelligence projects, manage timelines and contributors, and ensure clear final deliverables.
• Synthesize information into clear points of view, challenge assumptions, and connect findings to Autodesk's broader implications.
• Produce recurring competitive intelligence and fast-turn analysis for leaders, translating developments into concise briefs and market maps.
• Own operating discipline for the team’s intelligence work, manage priorities and research systems, and improve processes for efficiency.
• Use AI tools to accelerate research while applying judgment on validation needs.
