Job summary

Highway Machine Co. in Princeton, Indiana is seeking a Purchasing Agent to support manufacturing by sourcing raw materials, components, and services. You’ll collaborate with multiple departments to ensure materials meet quality and cost objectives while staying on schedule.

The role requires strong detail orientation, organization, and communication, with experience in ERP/MRP and Excel preferred. This position offers steady growth in a stable manufacturer.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist the Purchasing Manager with sourcing and purchasing materials and services.
• Evaluate supplier pricing, availability, lead times, and other purchasing data.
• Issue purchase orders and maintain purchasing records in the ERP/MRP system.
• Monitor open POs and follow up with suppliers to support on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with Quality, Production, and Engineering to address material issues.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve lead times.
