Job summary

The Lindt & Sprüngli facility near San Leandro, CA, is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to manage capital improvement projects that build, maintain, and improve our premium chocolate manufacturing infrastructure.

You will own project scope, budgets, timelines, and success criteria, collaborate with suppliers and internal teams, and ensure proper training and documentation for handovers to Production and Maintenance.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Engineering required or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years in a manufacturing capital project management role.
• Mechatronics, Automation or Electric Engineering degrees preferred.
• Food or pharmaceutical background and chocolate experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan and organize multiple installations with minimal supervision.
• Define scope, budget, and timeline; set success criteria.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams for installation and testing.
• Ensure proper training and documentation for handover to Production and Maintenance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives as needed.
