Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a detail-oriented Production Planner to join our manufacturing team in Tarboro, NC. You will plan and schedule work centers, coordinate loads based on customer orders and plant reorder reports, and collaborate with shipping and manufacturing teams to meet on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of scheduling and inventory control experience, strong math skills, and proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JD Edwards. Lean experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong mathematical and statistical skills.
• Experience in production planning or scheduling.
• Understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) is a plus.
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JD Edwards is essential.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree; STEM major a plus.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in scheduling and inventory control in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage production schedules to ensure 100% on-time delivery of customer orders.
• Analyze sales order releases for capacity planning and material requirements.
• Input shipping information and delivery dates accurately.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, purchasing, and shipping departments to resolve planning issues.
• Communicate production progress to support departments and management.
• Identify and solve production-related problems using Lean and continuous improvement methods.
• Prepare and maintain production reports and daily schedules.
