Job summary
Johnson Controls is seeking an Manufacturing Engineering Manager in San Antonio to lead a team of engineers and technicians. The role focuses on designing and improving tools, controls, equipment, and processes for high-volume manufacturing, while driving lean initiatives and continuous improvement across operations.
The role emphasizes team development, performance management, and collaboration with Operations, Quality, NPI, and other functions to meet division goals and enhance productivity
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 8+ years of Manufacturing Engineering or related experience in high-volume manufacturing.
- 5+ years of people leadership, managing 4+ engineers.
- Proven track record leading Kaizen/Lean transformations with measurable improvements.
Responsibilities
- Manage Manufacturing Engineering team to meet Divisional, Site, and Value Stream goals.
- Lead engineers to design and develop tools, controls, equipment, and processes for fabrication and assembly.
- Develop Future State vision and lean implementation plans.
- Collaborate with Operations, Quality, NPI, and other cross-functional teams to drive improvements.
