Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead cost and inventory accounting in a manufacturing context. You will own physical inventory, cycle counts, standard costs, and month-end close processes, while supporting audits and internal controls.

You will also manage intercompany reconciliations, KPI reporting, and cost of goods sold calculations, ensuring accurate financial statements and adherence to GAAP.

Qualifications

• Experience with GAAP-based cost and inventory accounting.
• Ability to manage cost accounting and standard costing.
• Strong bookkeeping and inventory control skills.
• Manufacturing accounting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute cost and inventory accounting, including monthly closings.
• Own physical inventory and cycle-count programs with valuation reviews.
• Support audits conducted by banks and financial auditors.
• Run weekly audits of finished goods and subassembly inventories.
• Review and close manufacturing jobs after production wraps.
• Lead weekly production waste meetings and drive waste-reduction initiatives.
• Calculate monthly COGS and align expenses to revenue.
• Maintain WIP balance for the trial balance and reconcile stock status.
• Process billing and accounts payable invoices and manage RTV materials.
• Prepare month-end gross-profit reports and assist close scheduling.
