Job summary

National Nonwovens is seeking a cost accounting specialist to support data integrity and financial reporting for our manufacturing operations. You will manage inventory, cost of sales, and monthly close processes across multiple locations.

Responsibilities include maintaining inventory balances, preparing weekly COGS reports, coordinating BOMs, and ensuring accurate journal entries that reflect the manufacturing impact on the balance sheet and income statement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting (preferred).
• 3-5 years cost accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with multiple product types in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Review and update data integrity for accurate reporting of balance sheet and income statement.
• Process and distribute backlog and production data by location and dates.
• Maintain bookings, billings, and backlog by site with trends.
• Maintain daily batch control updating inventory and factory orders.
• Prepare daily roll forward of inventory quantities from transactions.
• Prepare weekly Cost of Sales reports for bank; show COGS by week.
• Identify uncosted products and coordinate BOMs and routers.
• Review monthly activity, determine cut-off, and assist closing period.
• Close books for manufacturing inventory; process month-end reports.
• Convert month-end reports into balance sheet and income statement impact.
• Reconcile inventory balances, prepaid and current assets.
• Provide management with inventory flow analyses by location and period.
• Prepare and maintain monthly sales analysis binder and marketing stats.
• Coordinate quarterly audits of consignment inventory with vendors.
• Assist inventory teams and ensure proper annual counts.
