Job summary

BI Incorporated is seeking a Cost Accountant to manage accurate and timely processing and analysis of manufacturing costs. You will handle general ledger activities, journal entries, month-end close, and financial reporting while ensuring inventory controls and cost variances are properly analyzed.

The role requires a Bachelor's in accounting, 3+ years of accounting experience, and cost accounting in manufacturing.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field and 3+ years accounting experience.
At least one year of cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of GAAP and standard cost structures.

Responsibilities

Process cost transactions and analyze COGS; report to management.
Record monthly period cost entries and manufacturing variances; prepare analysis reports.
Review inventory balances; audit cycle counts and ensure adequate controls.
Post direct labor hours and establish standard costs.
Perform month-end close activities and distribute financial information.
