Job summary

Pennsylvania Food Corporation is seeking a Controller to lead the accounting and financial operations, ensuring accuracy and strong internal controls.

The role partners with executive leadership and operations to improve profitability, manage cost accounting, and provide actionable insights for growth and strategic decision-making.

You will oversee month-end close, financial reporting, inventory accounting, and capital project tracking, while coaching a finance team in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years in accounting and financial leadership with reporting and close.
• 3+ years in accounting leadership or management.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, cost accounting.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel.
• Experience with manufacturing costing and inventory valuation.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations including general ledger and month-end close.
• Ensure timely preparation of financial statements under US GAAP.
• Maintain integrity of financial data and communicate risks and opportunities.
• Oversee manufacturing cost accounting, standard costing, inventory valuation.
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and R&D to improve costing and profitability.
• Oversee inventory controls and cycle counts.
• Develop and maintain internal controls across finance functions.
• Coordinate audits and tax support.
• Support cash flow forecasting and budgeting.
• Lead and develop the accounting team.
