Job summary

Allied Personnel Services is seeking a Buyer for a temp-to-hire role with full-time hours. The position pays $30.00/hr and requires hands-on purchasing in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Microsoft Office experience required.
• Experience working in an MRP is preferred.
• A degree is also preferred.

Responsibilities

• Purchase raw materials, supplies, and equipment for a manufacturing company.
• Issue purchase orders to vendors.
• Work with sales, engineering and production to obtain new or updated material/component prices.
• Conduct material audits/cycle counts and monitor inventory levels.
• Maintain vendor relationships.
• Analyze material and vendor selections to identify cost saving opportunities.
• Plan and direct materials management policies and objectives.
