Job summary

Goddard Riverside seeks an experienced Major Gifts Officer to build and expand our major gifts program in New York. You will manage a portfolio of 75–100 donors and prospects, cultivating relationships and leading stewardship of transformational investments.

Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, you will develop strategies to raise major gift revenue, engage Board members, and coordinate cross-functionally with the Development Office to support the organization’s mission and growth.

Qualifications

• Experienced and entrepreneurial Major Gifts Officer with a track record in growing major gifts programs.
• Manages a donor portfolio of 75–100 donors and prospects, building relationships and pipelines.
• Leads cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of transformational philanthropic investments.
• Collaborates across Development Office to align donor strategy with organizational priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to increase major gift revenue.
• Deepen engagement with Board members and key volunteers.
• Own donor strategy and portfolio management while coordinating with colleagues.
