Job summary

KSPS PBS in Spokane, WA seeks a Major Giving Officer to build relationships with major donors and manage a 100–150 donor portfolio. You will develop engagement strategies, prepare proposals, and steward gifts to align with KSPS PBS priorities.

This exempt, full-time role reports to the Director of Development and requires travel and occasional evenings or weekends. Qualifications include five or more years in fundraising, strong communication and organizational skills, familiarity with donor

Qualifications

• Five+ years of fundraising or nonprofit development experience.
• Proven ability to build trusted donor relationships and move prospects toward commitments.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned portfolio of approximately 100-150 major gift donors and prospects.
• Develop individualized engagement strategies for donor qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
• Prepare proposals, gift agreements, and impact reports in collaboration with colleagues.
• Maintain donor records and portfolio activity in the donor CRM.
• Collaborate with leadership and program staff to connect donor interests with station priorities.
