Job summary

Dartmouth College seeks an accomplished fundraiser to join its Leadership Giving team as Managing Director, Special Gifts. You will manage a select portfolio of individuals capable of making major gifts in support of the College’s priorities and execute cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies.

Working primarily with prospective donors in the Western region, you will develop and execute strategies to secure current-use and capital commitments of up to $250,000 or more.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with six or more years of experience in a complex college or university development operation.
• Demonstrated experience soliciting and closing four, five and six-figure gifts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with capacity to manage a wide range of relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage a select portfolio of major gift prospects and lead cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
• Develop and execute strategies to secure current-use and capital commitments in support of institutional priorities.
• Collaborate with Leadership Giving to advance donor relationships and fundraising goals.
