Job summary

Virnig Manufacturing in Central Minnesota designs and builds skid steer loader attachments since 1989. The Maintenance & Tooling Manager leads maintenance across multiple facilities to maximize uptime, reliability, and safety while driving standardization and continuous improvement.

You will oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, manage budgets and vendors, guide tooling engineers and technicians, and support new product launches with tooling readiness.

Qualifications

• 3+ years industrial maintenance experience.
• 3+ years leadership experience (multi-site preferred).
• Strong knowledge of industrial systems and automation with working knowledge of tooling and fixture operations.
• Experience leading cross-functional multi-site technical teams in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with CMMS and predictive maintenance tools.
• Ability to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop maintenance teams across multiple plants.
• Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
• Ensure equipment reliability, maximize uptime, and reduce unplanned downtime.
• Standardize maintenance processes and CMMS usage across sites.
• Manage budgets, spare parts, and vendor/contractor performance.
• Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all contractor policies are followed, and documentation is up to date.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and safety standards.
