Job summary

Virnig Manufacturing, Inc. seeks a Director of Manufacturing to provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple facilities. This role drives safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost improvements while building scalable processes and high-performing teams.

The position partners with Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, and People/HR to align capacity with demand and customer requirements, with travel between sites required.

Qualifications

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for manufacturing operations across all company facilities, establishing consistent expectations, priorities, and accountability.
• Partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, and People/HR to align capacity with demand.
• Drive safety, quality, delivery, productivity, labor efficiency, and cost improvements across multi-site operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing leadership across multiple facilities to achieve safety, quality, delivery and cost targets.
• Collaborate with Engineering to ensure manufacturability and effective design execution.
• Establish and maintain ISO standards compliance and quality systems across sites.
• Coordinate production capacity, resources, staffing, and priorities to meet customer demand.
• Develop training programs to build bench strength and succession planning.
• Travel between company facilities as required to drive alignment and performance.
• Monitor budgets, capital expenditures, and staffing to support growth and efficiency.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on standard work, waste reduction, and throughput.
