Job summary

ATI is seeking a Maintenance Planner to support our Specialty Rolled Products melting facility in Lockport, NY. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Superintendent and focuses on scheduling, contractor coordination, and long-range planning to minimize downtime.

Ideal candidates have prior maintenance planning experience in manufacturing, familiarity with Maximo or similar CMMS, and an associate degree in a technical field.

Qualifications

• Previous as a Maintenance Planner, Maintenance Engineer or Maintenance Supervisor in a manufacturer.
• Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System, Maximo preferred, as well as experience with project management software, MS Project or equivalent.
• An associate's degree in a technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue the maintenance activity work schedule.
• Prepare and coordinate contractor activities and work schedule.
• Prepare detailed critical path plans including equipment and materials for major jobs such as planned shutdowns.
• Ensure that equipment and materials are available when required.
• Assist storeroom in parts procurement, repair and identification
• Issue and follow up on preventative/predictive maintenance inspections and procedures.
• Ensure that necessary work history and documentation are organized and input into Maximo.
• Attend daily DMB meetings with operations and maintenance representatives.
• Evaluate time-based PM's and seek opportunities to replace with condition-based evaluations.
• Conduct field investigations to better identify scope of work.
