Job summary

Stripe is seeking an experienced M&A/Integration Accounting leader in San Francisco to own cross-functional integration strategy and execution. You will oversee business combination accounting, valuations, and serve as the accounting authority for Stripe’s strategic investments.

You will partner with Corporate Development, Tax, Legal, and Finance teams to align policy and drive timely reporting for subsidiaries and investments, leveraging AI tools to accelerate work.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant public accounting and/or industry experience.
• Relevant M&A integration experience.
• Fluency in U.S. GAAP and ability to research complex accounting issues.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with large data sets.
• Demonstrated experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience with internal controls (design, implementation and execution).
• Demonstrated history of leading challenging projects and delivering results.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a controllership/oversight function over subsidiaries until they are integrated into Stripe.
• Partner with Corporate Development, Tax, Corporate Legal, Finance & Strategy, and external service providers for diligence and integration.
• Communicate and influence unintegrated teams to align with Stripe policies and norms.
• Be the accountable person ensuring timely reporting of unintegrated subsidiaries and strategic investments.
• Shape the evolution of financial close and reporting programs with best practices and internal controls.
• Own program management of finance integration workstreams end-to-end with planned sequencing and risk management.
• Lead complex cross-functional projects and processes spanning multiple teams for scalable Stripe integrations.
• Plan and perform monthly and quarterly close activities, reconciliations, analyses and management reporting.
• Research, prepare, and review technical accounting analyses.
• Utilize Stripe-approved AI tools to accelerate and improve work.
