Job summary

Hire Point Recruiting is seeking an experienced Director of Mergers & Acquisitions to lead and execute acquisition initiatives that support our long-term growth. You will identify targets, conduct financial analysis, due diligence, and manage transactions from evaluation to closing and integration.

The ideal candidate brings 8–12+ years in M&A, corporate development, or investment banking, plus strong modeling and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration; MBA or CFA preferred.
• 8–12+ years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or related fields.
• Demonstrated experience executing M&A transactions, including financial modeling, valuation, due diligence, and deal structuring.
• Strong understanding of corporate finance, financial statements, accounting principles, and transaction structures.
• Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience working directly with senior executives, external advisors, and cross-functional leadership teams.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple complex transactions and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end M&A process, including target identification, evaluation, valuation, due diligence, negotiation, transaction execution, and post-acquisition integration planning.
• Identify and assess potential acquisition targets and strategic investment opportunities aligned with corporate growth objectives.
• Develop comprehensive financial models, including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, and accretion/dilution analysis.
• Conduct financial, operational, and strategic due diligence to evaluate transaction risks, synergies, and potential returns.
• Partner closely with executive leadership to develop and execute the company's M&A strategy.
• Prepare investment presentations, transaction recommendations, and financial analyses for senior management, executive committees, and the Board of Directors.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including Finance, Accounting, Legal, Tax, Operations, and Human Resources, throughout the transaction lifecycle.
• Manage relationships with external advisors, including investment bankers, legal counsel, consultants, and other transaction partners.
• Support transaction structuring, negotiations, and the development of letters of intent, purchase agreements, and other transaction documentation.
• Evaluate potential acquisition synergies, integration opportunities, and financial and operational risks.
• Monitor industry trends, competitive dynamics, and market conditions to identify strategic growth opportunities.
• Support post-acquisition integration planning and track transaction performance against financial and strategic objectives.
