Job summary

Responsibilities

• Oversee incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure timeliness and accuracy.
• Determine shipping requirements and vehicle needs for outbound shipments.
• Ensure warehouse space is used efficiently to meet cost and service goals.
• Analyze and standardize procedures to improve shipping and receiving efficiency.
• Maintain safe, organized and ergonomic warehouse/receiving environments.
• Evaluate freight costs and ensure cost-effective logistics strategies.
• Identify and implement cost reduction improvements in logistics operations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with freight companies and transload facilities.
• Create efficient processes to deliver materials to manufacturing.
• Develop and monitor KPIs and monthly/quarterly spend data.
• Present data to meet department goals and align with company strategy.
• Interview, train, and coach staff to high performance.
