Job summary

SI Group is seeking a Category Manager for Logistics Procurement to design and execute sourcing strategies for transportation, warehousing, and logistics across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. You will manage carrier and 3PL relationships to optimize cost, service, and risk while partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver compliant, dependable logistics solutions.

Responsibilities include leading RFIs/RFPs, negotiating rates, and driving continuous improvement in supply chain resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 8+ years logistics experience in a multinational environment.
• Proven ability to create value and drive cost reduction in logistics.
• Strong knowledge of Excel, Power BI, and SAP; ERP data fluency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies for truckload, LTL, bulk liquid, rail, warehousing, terminals, and 3PL.
• Lead RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, bid events, should-cost reviews, rate benchmarking and supplier selection.
• Negotiate freight rates, service terms, schedules, payment terms and contract renewals.
• Build dashboards, analyze spend, lanes, and supplier performance to identify savings.
• Manage supplier relationships, governance, scorecards, and performance reviews.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure compliant, reliable logistics solutions.
