Job summary

The Pokémon Company International is seeking a Category Manager, Logistics to support the spend category, develop category plans, and execute sourcing strategies. You will negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance in partnership with cross-functional teams.

The role requires 5–7 years of experience in category management, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and the ability to travel up to two times per year. This is a hybrid role based in Bellevue, WA, USA.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of related professional experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or a demonstrated equivalent level of experience.
• Category management subject matter expertise and deep knowledge of source-to-pay (S2P) processes.
• Proficiency in spend analysis, market intelligence analysis, financial analysis, demand/supply planning, sourcing strategy development, negotiation, stakeholder management, contracts management, supplier performance management, project management, etc.
• Effective organizational skills and managing multiple and competing priorities and projects effectively.
• Self-motivation and autonomy in work.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to travel up to 2 times a year domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Employ a customer-centric approach to providing internal and external stakeholders with category management support.
• Partner with Global S2P Services teams, cross-functional teams, and MSPs to support stakeholders effectively.
• Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and create category plans aligned to objectives.
• Develop category plans based on spend data, market dynamics, and business requirements.
• Develop, measure, and track KPIs for categories; research best practices.
• Collaborate to gain buy-in for category strategy and value opportunities.
• Drive value beyond cost, including risk mitigation and operational efficiencies.
• Coordinate strategic sourcing initiatives and prepare business cases; analyze RFPs and supplier performance.
