Job summary

Mariana Minerals is seeking a Logistics Analyst to own the operational logistics intelligence for procurement, engineering, and site teams. You will translate needs into logistics requirements, monitor freight markets, and flag capacity risks before they occur.

You will build cost models, support negotiations with benchmarks, and educate teams on market conditions to optimize shipments and costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, engineering, economics, or related field.
• 3-6 years of experience in logistics analysis, freight management, or supply chain planning.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to build cost models and synthesize market data.
• Knowledge of freight modes (ocean, air, rail, linehaul) and pricing dynamics.
• Experience monitoring freight markets is a plus.
• Clear communicator who can explain logistics concepts to non-logistics teams.
• Comfort with ambiguity and fast-paced prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Understand material movement needs and translate to logistics scope (mode, route, lead time, cost).
• Analyze freight markets and carrier options for cost-effective, reliable solutions.
• Monitor external conditions (seasonality, capacity, regulations) and brief teams.
• Build and maintain logistics cost models to show true delivered costs.
• Support procurement with freight benchmarks and lead times.
• Educate stakeholders on constraints and market conditions for new projects.
• Contribute to logistics planning ahead of site startups.
• Track freight spend and identify inefficiencies and savings opportunities.
