Job summary

Mariana Minerals is seeking a Logistics Analyst to own the operational logistics intelligence behind material and equipment movements. You will translate needs into logistics scope, monitor freight markets, and build cost models to illuminate true delivered costs.

This role partners with engineering and purchasing to optimize routes, modes, and carrier choices while briefing on capacity signals and market conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, engineering, economics, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in logistics analysis, freight management, supply chain planning, or a related function.
• Strong analytical skills; ability to build cost models and translate market data into actionable recommendations.
• Working knowledge of freight modes including ocean, air, rail, and linehaul; how each mode prices and performs.
• Experience monitoring freight markets and interpreting external conditions is a plus.
• Clear communicator able to explain logistics concepts to non-logistics audiences.
• Comfort with ambiguity and ability to prioritize in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and operations to understand movement requirements and translate into logistics scope.
• Analyze freight markets and carrier options to identify cost-effective, reliable solutions.
• Monitor external conditions (seasonality, capacity, port congestion, regulations) and brief the team on potential impacts.
• Build and maintain logistics cost models to show true delivered costs of inputs and equipment.
• Support procurement negotiations by providing benchmarks, lead times, and carrier performance data.
• Educate stakeholders on logistics constraints and market conditions to inform project scoping.
• Contribute to logistics planning ahead of site startups, modeling freight requirements and routes.
• Track freight spend and performance to identify trends, inefficiencies, and savings opportunities.
