Job summary

The State-of-Nevad Local Government Finance Unit in Reno is hiring a Budget Analyst 2 to review and analyze local government budgets, prepare documents, and assist in debt reports and annual fiscal documentation.

You will lead budget development for assigned programs, monitor compliance, build reports and spreadsheets, and present findings to leadership. Three or more years of budgeting experience and a high school diploma or equivalent are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of applicable budget analysis experience.
• Graduation from high school or equivalent education.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and control budgets for an assigned agency or major program.
• Monitor budgets through review of audit reports and compliance.
• Review and analyze budgets.
• Project revenue and expenditures using trend analysis and statistical tools.
• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance budgetary systems.
• Present budgets at meetings and to leadership.
