Job summary

The role emphasizes timely communication with driver managers and carriers, planning loads to optimize ROI, and ensuring on-time delivery. Requirements include truck dispatch experience, basic CPS/Outlook/Excel skills, ability to multi-task, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Truck dispatch/planning/distribution experience required.
• Basic computer skills in CPS, Outlook and Excel; experience with transportation software preferred.
• Ability to work in fast paced environment.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Shipper/trucking industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Sales/Warehouse to meet customers’ needs through asset and personnel planning.
• Communicate pickup and delivery information to driver managers.
• Facilitate loading and equipment issues with warehouse.
• Coordinate with Customer Service to secure equipment for shipments.
• Communicate pickup and delivery information to carriers.
• Plan loads and equipment to optimize ROI.
• Work with Driver Managers to meet on-time delivery requirements.
• Communicate delays or problems in meeting on-time service with shipper and Customer Service.
• Forecast regional freight needs to Customer Service.
• Work with Driver Manager to meet driver duty time requirements.
• Additional duties as assigned.
