Job summary

Roku is seeking an Assistant General Counsel, Litigation to join our Legal team. This role owns Roku’s non-IP litigation portfolio—consumer class actions, commercial disputes, and government investigations—with a focus on privacy‑related matters across devices, streaming, and ads.

You will lead disputes end‑to‑end, shape strategy, supervise outside counsel, and decide when to fight, settle, or escape. The position reports to senior legal leadership in a fast‑growing tech company.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience managing complex litigation at a top‑tier firm or in‑house.
• Experience with consumer class actions and government investigations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage Roku's litigation portfolio outside IP from intake to resolution.
• Define case strategy and advise on litigation, settlements, or escapes.
• Coordinate government investigations and regulatory matters with cross‑functional teams.
• Develop novel litigation theories and manage outside counsel efficiently.
• Provide reporting on litigation exposure and trends to senior leadership.
