Job summary

Roku is seeking an Associate General Counsel, Litigation to lead Roku’s non-IP litigation portfolio, including consumer class actions, commercial disputes, and privacy-related investigations. You will manage disputes end-to-end, directing outside counsel and shaping strategy with the Deputy General Counsel.

Ideal candidates bring 15+ years of litigation experience, strong writing skills, and a track record handling complex matters at a tech/media company.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of combined litigation experience at a law firm, in-house, or both.
• J.D. from a U.S. accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing.
• Experience litigating consumer class actions and/or government investigations in a tech/media environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Roku’s litigation portfolio outside IP — consumer class actions, commercial disputes, privacy matters.
• Define case strategy; advise on litigation vs settlement; coordinate with outside counsel.
• Manage government investigations and regulatory inquiries; liaise with Privacy, Security, Compliance and Business partners.
• Develop novel theories and write clear, persuasive briefs, memos, and correspondence.
