Job summary

Putnam is seeking a Consultant (Case Team Leader) to help lead and manage a team of life sciences consultants across practice areas in a client-focused environment. You will interact with clients, break down complex problems, and deliver actionable recommendations while mentoring junior staff.

The role emphasizes team-based collaboration, strategic thinking, and the ability to synthesize analyses into impactful insights for major biopharma clients. Travel to client sites is expected.

Qualifications

• MBA or post-graduate degree preferred but not required.
• Minimum 3 years work experience or 2 years with an advanced degree.
• Proven analytic abilities, presentation skills, team-management experience.
• Working knowledge of pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Relevant analytical/programming experiences in life science industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interact with clients to understand problems, and develop and refine hypotheses to test.
• Break down and structure complex strategic and analytical problems that constitute the core of the team’s work.
• Lead the daily operations of the team in executing and synthesizing analyses into key findings and actionable recommendations for clients.
• Coach junior staff on project execution and management.
