Job summary

Roers Companies in Plymouth, MN seeks a Training & Development Specialist to coordinate and support learning programs across the organization. You will manage scheduling, communications, materials, LMS administration, and reporting while delivering New Hire Orientation and both in-person and virtual training.

You will apply instructional design and adult learning principles to create engaging content, including eLearning, presentations, guides, and videos, partnering with SMEs to translate

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in learning and development, training, instructional design, program coordination, or a related field.
• Experience facilitating in-person and/or virtual training.
• Experience designing and developing training materials or learning content.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience working with learning technology or an LMS.
• Experience with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate 360/Rise or similar tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and administer learning and development programs, including scheduling, logistics, communications, materials, attendance, tracking, reporting, and follow‑up.
• Facilitate assigned components of New Hire Orientation and support the coordination and delivery of the broader onboarding experience.
• Facilitate in-person and virtual training programs for team members and leaders.
• Apply instructional design and adult learning principles to design, develop, and improve learning experiences based on identified needs and desired outcomes.
• Develop and maintain learning content in a variety of formats, including eLearning, presentations, facilitator guides, job aids, videos, and other learning resources.
• Partner with subject matter experts to gather content and translate information into clear, practical, and engaging learning experiences.
• Administer the Learning Management System (LMS), including course setup, assignments, learner records, completion tracking, and reporting.
• Provide ongoing coordination and administrative support for leadership development, coaching, assessments, and other development initiatives.
• Collect and track participation, completion, and evaluation data to support program effectiveness and continuous improvement.
• Support additional Human Resources projects and priorities as needed.
