Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking an Associate Director for State and Local Government in Boston, MA to lead client relationships and engagement delivery across multiple state agency projects. You will strategize with teams, manage risk, and ensure delivery meets contractual and financial targets.

You will also drive business development, mentor consultants, and promote best practices while growing the practice within the New England region.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university.
• 7+ years relevant experience in government or consulting.
• 3+ years of experience leading large-scale programs or engagements with state agencies.
• Existing network within state government and connections with state agencies and local governments, preferably New England.
• Strong program/project management skills with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Ability to establish and maintain relationships with senior executive clients.

Responsibilities

• Actively manage a portfolio of client engagements and consulting staff, ensuring targets and deliverables are met.
• Strategize with consultant teams on project approach, facilitate communications, and manage risk across engagements.
• Drive quality and standards of work product; ensure superior engagement quality.
• Maintain relationships with executives at state agencies across levels.
• Develop and instill best practices and manage engagement economics to align with financial parameters.
• Grow the practice via new business opportunities and relationships; lead new business pursuits.
