Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Special Education Director license and 2–4 years of experience in administration and supervision.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to collaborate with staff, administration, parents and students.
• Knowledge of budgeting, accounting, and district business practices; ability to interpret and apply regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist as Assistant Special Education Director with program organization, staff supervision, budget, staff development, staffing and evaluation.
• Align special education curriculum and interventions with district curriculum.
• Coordinate District 504 and monitor compliance with state and federal regulations; work with finance on billing and coding.
• Communicate with cooperative program districts and supervise nonpublic school records as needed.
• Support student health services and ensure regulatory compliance.
