Job summary

Micron Technology seeks a Principal, Social Impact & Community Engagement to advance its social impact initiatives across U.S. regions and Mexico.

You will lead the community engagement lifecycle, source grants, mobilize volunteers, build partnerships with nonprofits, and represent Micron as a trusted corporate citizen. This role partners with Communications, Sustainability and Talent teams, drives outcome-focused programs, and leverages data to measure impact.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of professional experience, including 10+ years in social impact, community engagement or related fields.
• Proven track record building partnerships with nonprofits and philanthropic organizations.
• Experience managing end-to-end grant portfolios including sourcing, due diligence, contracting, and impact reporting.
• Strong global collaboration skills and ability to work across time zones in matrixed organizations.
• Willingness to travel ~25% (Idaho, Mexico, and other Micron sites).
• High digital proficiency, including AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Grantmaking & Portfolio Management: Source, build, and supervise a local grants portfolio consistent with Micron's social impact strategy.
• Emphasize growing access to STEM education, employment, and career pathways for underrepresented and underserved communities in U.S. regions and Mexico.
• Deliver STEM Signature Programs such as Chip Camps, Careers in Tech, and Going Tech through grants to trusted community partners.
• Steward grants through all phases, from partner identification and application assessment to impact evaluation and relationship support.
• Integrate participatory grantmaking practices, including engagement with Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) in portfolio development and decision-making.
• Manage all grants, sponsorships, and in-kind giving through Benevity, Micron's corporate giving platform.
