Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in police science, public administration, or a related field.
• Three years of experience supervising a section or division of a police department.
• A master’s degree in administration of justice, business, management or related field is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, directs, controls, integrates and evaluates the work of the Support Services division.
• Directs and manages the performance of divisional managers and staff.
• Provides day-to-day leadership and works with managers to ensure a customer service-oriented environment.
• Ensures staffing and operations comply with laws governing dispatch, property and records services, fleet and technology.
• Directs the Records, Property & Evidence, Communications, Fleet and Technology Units.
• Represents the department to officials and community groups; participates in events.
• Prepares council reports, reviews RFIs/RFPs, contracts and scopes of work; negotiates contracts.
• Oversees implementation of the Active Intelligence Center (AIC) to support real-time crime analysis.
