Calvin University seeks an Associate Vice President for Community & Belonging to lead a university-wide strategy promoting a Christ-centered community where all members flourish. Reporting to the President, the role directs efforts across academic affairs, student life, HR, enrollment, and advancement with a focus on belonging and intercultural engagement.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in higher education leadership, organizational leadership or development, theology, sociology, psychology, intercultural studies, business administration, human resources, or a related field.
• Seven years of progressively responsible leadership experience in higher education or related sectors.
• Experience leading organization-wide initiatives involving culture, engagement, belonging, or institutional climate.

Responsabilités

• Develop, lead, and assess a university-wide strategy for community, belonging, intercultural engagement, and institutional climate.
• Translate commitments into clear goals, sustainable practices, and measurable outcomes.
• Serve as senior advisor to the President on belonging, intercultural engagement, and campus climate.
• Convene cross-divisional teams to advance priorities related to community and belonging.
• Advise leaders on policies, resource priorities, and institutional responses that strengthen Christian community and trust.
• Lead campus climate assessment, establish indicators, and report on progress.
• Partner with HR to strengthen organizational culture, engagement, and development.
• Provide strategic guidance for student belonging and intercultural learning in partnership with Student Life and academic leadership.
