Otsuka America Pharmaceutical Inc. is seeking a Senior Director, Meetings & Events to lead enterprise-wide strategy for commercial, medical, and internal events across the United States.

This role oversees governance, investment prioritization, and the portfolio of conferences, advisory boards, and speaker programs. The candidate will drive end-to-end event execution, vendor management, and KPI-driven improvements in a highly matrixed, regulated environment, partnering with Legal, Finance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 10–15+ years of progressive leadership in meetings & events, pharma/biotech experience a plus.
• Experience with enterprise strategy, governance and transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of regulated environments and compliance frameworks.
• Ability to influence executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define and own enterprise-wide meetings & engagements strategy.
• Oversee end-to-end event planning, including logistics, travel, and on-site execution.
• Lead enterprise vendor strategy, budgeting, forecasting and optimization.
• Drive KPIs for attendee engagement, compliance, and cost control.
• Influence senior stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Medical, and Legal.
